Where unreliable as built information is having a detrimental effect upon plant productivity, rapid implementation of the portal can begin with a Smart Image survey, capturing the real as is condition of the asset. This is then published as a complete Smart Image photographic database, using the portal platform, accessible via secure internet or intranet connection.
Once this facility is in place, using a complete photographic asset register, Offset provide the capability to connect to other data sources such as mySAP, Documentum, maintainance packages, MS documents, 2D schematics and other enterprise applications. Bi-directional communication is then achievable between these existing key systems and all asset information is ultimately traceable to and from the Smart Image database.
